Behind Door #1.....

New laminate hardwood floor. Much thanks to my buddies and co-workers Dave and Rob for assisting me with installing the laminate hardwood floor in our office Tuesday night. We will also be installing the same floor in the front entry of the house, most likely next week.

The doors and trim work have also started and the doors look fabulous.

213 Pheasant Run

They are almost complete with all of the masonry and stone work. As a nice added touch, our house number was engraved into a stone near the front corner of the garage.

Stone on face of kitchen island

Started stone on front porch pillars

Chimney is complete and looks wonderful!

Cabinets and Tile and Stone Oh My!

We now have stone on the inside of the house as well as the exterior and it looks great. Most of the tile has been installed on the main floor and almost all of the lower cabinets are in. Things are really looking nice as it all comes together. Can lights are being installed and light fixtures will be going in this weekend.

Two for Two

Well, there certainly won't be a request for two front teeth from Taylor this coming Christmas! Our sweet little daughter had to go in for oral surgery last Friday as it was discovered on x-rays at her last dental check-up that she had two extra teeth above her front top baby teeth.
These extra teeth called "mesiodens" are neither permanent or baby teeth - they are just extra, and if left where they are they would likely inhibit the permanent teeth from coming in, so the removal was necessary. Taylor was sedated via an IV sedation and the procedure took only about one hour. She was a fantastic patient, and was referred to as the Patient of the Year by the doctors and nurses. The tooth fairy made a special visit that night and Tay is recovering well.

Nothing Says Mother's Day Like........

Mud!

Yep, a little late on the post from Mother's Day but couldn't resist getting some of these pictures on the blogs. As part of Amy's special day the kids "helped" plant flowers which eventually led to the boys digging wherever they could find dirt or mulch. Once the outdoor water spigot was discovered, this resulted in mud as you can see by the pictrues below.

We had a great day and Amy received some personally made gifts (pottery).

Here are some more pictures of work taking place this week on the house. As mentioned previously, things are really coming together now. Cabinets are delivered and hopefully they will begin setting tomorrow which will be great!

The Colors Come Together

Well, the house is really starting to take shape on the outside as siding is getting completed and the stone is being installed. We are really happy with our color choices after worrying about it for months!

The septic sewer system was getting installed yesterday and some remaining framing was getting completed (stairs in garage, screen porch).
